The Fellowship of the Least Coin
Providing Assistance to Women
The Fellowship of the Least Coin is an international Christian women’s organization devoted to sharing prayers for justice, peace, and reconciliation throughout the world. Begun after WW II, it’s mission of understanding, forgiveness, and empowerment includes a token least coin of the woman’s currency to help women and girls around the world. As the message has spread and the funds have accumulated, there have been grants given for small businesses, education, orphanages, and relief work world-wide. We collect coins year-round, and send them in every October. Last year, more than $100,000 was distributed to impoverished women and girls.
The Rainbow Network
Breaking The Cycle OF Extreme Poverty In Nicaragua
Ash Grove UMPC will be collecting shoes year-round for The Rainbow Network. This nonprofit organization is on a mission to share the love of Jesus by partnering with Nicaragua's poorest people in healthcare, education, economic development, and housing. The Rainbow Network has adopted a model of nonprofit management that serves to better the lives of others through empowerment and education. The key lies in utilizing each individual's unique talents and interests to form a stronger, healthier community as it transitions out of poverty. Our shoe drive is a hand-up, not a hand-out. To donate, a tub is placed in the Family Life Center.
